about

written in the winter of 2015
in New Orleans LA

lyrics

the roses they spill from the garden
found the places we die aren't often
so hard to find

when the web we have found we are spinning
wasn't ours back in it"s own beginning

so now what we hold
it encompasses most
all we can see
and dare to believe in

so what's made a mess of this web
what needs mending
why are bending the bones
to hold onto something
they give us a view
from one that hurts nothing
if i've played the fool we'll find in the ending

the roses they spill from the garden
found the places we hide aren't often
so hard to find
where there's an artfulness
well there's a master
out of question derives a disaster
of one kind

so whats made a mess of this web
what needs mending
why are we bending the bones
to hold onto something
they give us a view
from one that hurts nothing
if iv'e played the fool we'll find in the ending

and when i caught this spill
in through love
never knew how to speak
and simply ending the line has me back on my knees

and this time it won't slip backwards
and most say except your defeat

but when i caught a spill on the backsides
learned this life is dependent on heat

we've still got time
yes we've all got our ties

the roses they spill from the garden
found the places we hide aren't often
so hard to find
